Dr. Sunil Shukla (Ph.D. – Psychology), Director General of Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), Ahmedabad, has been closely working, for more than three decades now, in various areas linked with entrepreneurship development. Entrepreneurship education, research, intrapreneurship development, MSME growth, cluster development, inclusive development, and institution-building are domains where Dr Shukla’s pioneering models have impacted scores of people. Dr. Shukla institutionalized ‘entrepreneurship education’ at EDII and developed an application-oriented, award-winning postgraduate, full-time education programme in entrepreneurship. He also envisioned an outcome-based, skill-enhancing entrepreneurship-oriented model for children and youths to ‘catch them young’. As a researcher, he has ably extended the frontiers of entrepreneurship, nationally and globally, through empirical research and dissemination. His research work has led to notable policy advocacy and decisions. While he has been leading the largest and most prestigious annual study of entrepreneurial dynamics in the world – the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) India Chapter since 2012, he is also the Editor of The Journal of Entrepreneurship, a reputed quarterly academic and research journal published by Sage Publications. Dr. Shukla has extensively worked in the international arena as well. His work in the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) countries, Asia, Africa, America, Iran, and Uzbekistan has been highly appreciated. He has been instrumental in setting up of Entrepreneurship Development Centres in Lao PDR, Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar, Uzbekistan, and Rwanda. Widely travelled, Dr. Shukla is acclaimed for highlighting the dimensions of entrepreneurship, nationally and internationally. Several organizations and departments are benefitting from his guidance and mentorship by having him on their Boards.

A business management professional with more than 18 years of teaching and consultancy experience in the areas of financial management, idea generation and business plan formulation. Trained in entrepreneurship teaching at Stanford Technology Venture Programmes and Indian School of Business, Hyderabad. Worked as Research Fellow with Centre for Innovation, Incubation and Entrepreneurship at Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. Trained in Application of Simulation for Entrepreneurship Teaching at the University of Tennessee, USA. Developed cases on Innovative Entrepreneurs of Gujarat.

Dr. Jaimin Vasa is a Chairman & Managing Director of Vasa Pharmachem Pvt Ltd. – a Flagship Company of Vasa Group of Companies manufacturing various pharmaceutical raw materials like Excipients, Active Pharma Ingredients, Personal Healthcare, and Neutraceuticals, etc. He has earned his Ph.D. in Management in the year 2016. He is the author of the book “Competitive Strategies for Indian SMEs – Lessons from China”. Dr. Jaimin Vasa has Chaired and delivered Keynote addresses and lectures in a number of national and international seminars and conferences on different platforms.
